Prairie Day is a free, family-friendly community event celebrating the natural world right here in our Oak Cliff neighborhood. This year we're pulling out all the stops:

• A native plant pop-up shop from North Haven Gardens — October is prime planting time for natives, and we're bringing them straight to the community

• Live hawks and owls

• Ask-A-Naturalist about our prairie

• Storytime with Whose Books

• Hands-on nature displays and kids' activities

• Face painting

• Community partner booths

• Pizza from Cenzo's Deli

The event is free and open to the public — all ages welcome.
