“We took one look at the tree-lined streets, families and friends out strolling, and the beautifully crafted homes and knew it was where we wanted to be.”
One of their favorite pieces? The jade green glass and gold-flaked ox sculpture, a one-of-a-kind Oscar Zanetti piece that they fell in love with while visiting Murano Island.
Don’t miss the custom purple bathtub in the primary bath, adding a touch of whimsy to the elegant space.
Bought in 2022, the homeowners aimed to create a “Parisian-inspired, modern luxury” feel while staying true to the neighborhood’s architectural style. While the house is newer build from 2014, it seamlessly integrates the old with the new to create a space that feels both unique and authentic. The renovated interior, guided by Kate Thacker Home and River Oak Renovations, features upscale design choices like pink, green and Carrara marble, herringbone oak flooring, and bespoke cabinetry.
In addition to the pool and wood-burning fireplace, the family has added touches from their travels. The wine room is stocked with bottles from their travels, and you’ll find New Year’s luck charms from Vienna, polaroids from Costa Rica, and beach rocks from Santorini among the treasures.
